OUR EXPERIENCE

HoopStar Academy has been serving it’s East Texas community for 10 years now. We have well-over 10,000 + hours of experience in skill acquisition; specializing in year-round, high-level skill performance training. Our mission is to “Take Care of the Dreams”. We believe work and intention drive the progression of any player. D’Marcus, owner and lead trainer, has had the opportunity to train 100s of players locally while sending a number of those players to colleges like ETBU, LeTourneau, TJC, and more! We simplify your path to success by using our 90 credit system to see where you are on your journey and where your HoopStar graduation should be. In 2017, we collaborated with world renowned skills leader, Micah Lancaster, to enhance our community’s journey to success on all competitive levels. Those who have maximized our program have had the discipline to show up with the mindset that work is part of the recipe of success, and not the optional alternative.

OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS

Platinum Registration

Platinum players can receive access to HoopStar’s training services at a discounted rate. Those trainings will cover Offensive Footwork, Finishing, Ball-Handling, Shooting Mechanics, Defensive Concepts and movement patterns, and so much more.

All Access

This registration gives you access to all the available classes, practices, and games that your child is qualified for.

All does Not mean unlimited.

Each player is given access to 2 training classes per week, 2 league practices( if they are available that month) per week, and 1 game that week ( if it is scheduled and if we have enough players available to play).

Star League

A year round gameplay platform where HoopStar players can perform and test the skills they have been training on in a unique 4v4 game setting.

In this half-court, semi transition, league players work on taking advantage of mismatches and miscommunication, understanding pace and finding teammates, and ultimately working on their ability to handle game plans and adjustments that will prep them for Middle school and beyond.

SEU Year-Round

This League was built by trainers with Middle School preparation in mind. The only 6th-7th grade League in East Texas that provides over 3+ hours of training per month on top of weekly practices. looking to give you hooper an edge, then give them a skill edge.

What a great program!!! I was a player in the program for 2 and 1/2 years. If you are or have a player that is looking to further their skills, this is the place and guy to do so. Coach Demarcus and Brady have perfected teaching because they don’t only use one style of teaching they tailor the teaching style to the needs of the player. Basketball skills are not even the best thing I walked away with from the program. I learned life altering lessons. Coach Demarcus not only grows you as a player but as a human!
